Miami & Miami Beach are simply great places for charter fishing. More than just a fishing tour, the warm waters off of Miami have an abundance of prime of deep sea, sport fish and many other fish species. We are just a short ten minute ride to the deep reef, and with the Gulf Stream current just one and a half miles offshore, you spend less time traveling to the prime fishing grounds, and more time hauling in the catch of a lifetime! All year round, there is a fantastic charter fishing experience waiting for you, just a ten minute boat ride from our marina.
The Fishing
The warm Gulf Stream current brings a wealth of big game Deep Sea species practically to the Miami shoreline. Marlin, Sailfish, Swordfish, Sharks ,Tuna, Wahoo, Dolphin (Mahi-Mahi), Great Barracuda, and Little Tunney are all common catches just a mile or so off Miami Beach. Wreck & reef fishing for Grouper, Amberjack, Snapper, Almaco’s, Kingfish, and other fish species is fantastic on Miami’s extensive natural and artificial reef and wreck system. And with the vibrant city of Miami as your starting point, you are sure to be in for a charter fishing vacation of a lifetime!.
We specialize in; Live Bait Kite Fishing, Live Bait Slow Trolling, traditional Trolling, Wreck fishing with live bait & Jigs, Vertical Jigging, Reef Fishing, Deep Dropping & Bottom fishing. We have a complete set of tournament tackle for all of our fishing methods.
The Boat "Spellbound"
The Spellbound is a custom built 57 foot long and almost 19 foot wide U.S. Coast Guard Licensed & Inspected passenger vessel. Our Coast Guard license is what separates us from the rest of the charter fishing boats operating out of Miami & Miami Beach. The spellbound is completely air conditioned powered buy two generators, so we can offer all the comforts of home while out at sea. Flat screen HDTV, DVD, CD, IPOD and WiFi available out at sea allow our customers to fully enjoy their day with us out at sea with the most modern conveniences available.
To become a USCG licensed & inspected vessel and have the ability to carry more than six passengers, you must build the boat from the keel up under the strict supervision of the Office of the Coast Guard in Washington DC and the local on site inspectors. All of the construction of the Spellbound was reviewed by USCG inspectors, and modifications were implemented to make our Spellbound fit into their very tight guide lines.
The end result is a very strong and safe boat, built especially to carry passengers with safety as our first concern. By Coast Guard mandate we have the latest in safety and navigational equipment on board. The end result is a technologically advanced custom built state of the art "Fishing Battle Wagon" with all of the yacht quality comforts, while built with safety as our primary concern. The reward for all of our hard work is we are one of the very few, if not only charter boats operating in south Florida with the ability to take groups of over six people. We are USCG Licensed for up to 23 passengers!
Custom Rigging
Our custom fishing equipment on the Spellbound includes two 200 gallon live wells and a third 60 gallon well. We have two down riggers & 40 foot triple rigged out riggers. Our tackle is all tournament grade custom equipment spanning the ultra light 6lb to 130lb big game and every thing in between. We have a 30' Tuna Tower to give our crew a birds eye view to help find the fish. Our fish finding electronics are sponsored by SIMRAD and we are a test platform for them, so we always have the latest and greatest in fish finding and navigational electronic equipment including three GPS, two chart plotters, two sonar fish finders, radar, AIS, WAS, VHS, Sirius satellite weather, Simrad weather station & auto pilot.
The Crew
Our knowledgeable, friendly crews will ensure you have everything you need for a fantastic fishing experience. We are tournament experienced and well versed in all manner of fishing techniques: kite fishing, trolling, live bait, jigging and bottom fishing, and we are happy to teach our guests how to utilize our equipment to land that big catch. The captain and crew members have many combined years of experience fishing Miami’s waters and know where to find the fish. This Weeks Fishing Report & Best Catches!
The Sailfish have been biting where the reef meets the Gulf Stream. Live bait in the kite or slow trolled out of the outriggers have produced some great catches. We are also seeing Kingfish and Dolphin (mahi-mahi) along with the Sailfish and if you are lucky you may even get to catch a nice Blackfin Tuna. The deep wrecks have been alive with Golden Amberjacks, Almaco's, and a few larger grouper.
